Batting woes at Wembley cost Strollers dear

A hugely frustrating day at the office yesterday with a heavy loss to newfound opposition Harrow Weald at Wembley CC. We were sent into the field on a hot day but, having put in the hard yards, to restrict the oppo to 210-4 thanks to an excellent all round bowling display (with Spencer and George collecting a couple of wickets apiece) we then threw it away with a lamentable batting display that included no fewer than FOUR ducks.

Only Tim showed any kind of resistance with a fine captain's knock of 54 and a late charge from Harry, blasting his way to a feiry 29, provided some entertainment late on and helped us reach a modicum of respectability with a three figure total — but it was not enough to mask the 100+ margin of defeat. Could do better...
