The Strollers happily picked up our second win of the season today with a convincing win over the National Theatre XI. With Spencer yet again winning the toss and putting the opposition in, the thesps made a nervy start with the loss of a couple of wickets before a 100+ third wicket partnership put the game back in the balance. But good work with the ball from Messrs H Brown (2-24) and Holmes (3-36) pinned the opposition down to a sub 200 total before another assured opening stand of 64 between Gav (34) and Graeme (60, retired) set a platform before the skipper turned on the style with his best innings of the season so far, amassing 76 not out and chalking up another win with 6 overs to spare.
