Ranamit Banerjee (aka Ron), a 2013 debutant, is another to have been cunningly snared by the assumption that a team called Pimlico Strollers might, you know, play somewhere south near Pimlico. His unusual debut was marked by early departure from Sandon in a specially-dispatched black limousine, to be whisked away still wearing pads and brandishing the bat from the smoked glass windows. Clearly, this was no ordinary Stroller. His variance from the norm has also been underlined by excellence of technique with ball, bat and in the field – and by an eagerness to take on the aggressive single which has older Strollers (that’s everyone then – Ed) wide-eyed with consternation.
