Broadly ineffective in most areas of play. Limited style with no discernible technique. Happiest with the "legend" in hand shooting one off into the covers.

Strolling moments: captaining the Strollers on the international tours of Ireland (having the Irish league champions on 66 for 7 before rain stopped play and the Strollers went to the bar) and The Helsinki International Sixes where the Strollers gloriously represented England.

Sporting Heroes: Sticky Vicky (Tour of Spain 1999); her ability to pull the unexpected out of the bag when the team was flagging has left a lasting impression and influenced many decisions both on and off the field.
