An intermittent member of the side since 2004, it could be argued that Jez is the most natural ‘swinger’ in the Strollers squad with the ability to turn a ball nigh-on sideways in mid air. However, lapses in confidence seem to have cost Gillies dear over the years despite occasional flashes of brilliance including a match-turning three-fer on tour in Mallorca in 2005. Some good late season form in 2008 may herald greater things to come.
