Boughey’s excited claims that “I think I’ve found the next Tendulkar!” were not questioned when Harsh made his debut in 2007 at Chippenham and promptly piled on a century – a feat he repeated in the same fixture the following year. A useful off-spin bowler and energetic fielder in the deep, Joshi’s obvious cricketing prowess may have caused envy from his team mates had he not been in possession of a truly Stroller-esque spirit of bonhomie. The fact that he had never scored a duck in his entire career until he went on tour with the Strollers to Ibiza proves beyond any remaining doubt that Joshi is clearly one of us now …Harsh, but fair.
