A new signing in 2003, Duncan was a schoolboy star
playing against Brian Lara, no less, on a tour of the
West Indies. He then retired, on medical grounds, to
join the medical profession. Never short of an opinion,
his retirement was punctuated by his outstanding advice
to Derek Pringle, when slightly tired and emotional,
at Lords in 1997 - "Call that a job. Get yourself
a real job. I'm a doctor - I save lives! Ah, the tedious
Pringle was stunned. Now known to all but his parents
as RJ, Duncan broke down on his return to action with
the Strollers in his first game after one over.
