As one of the godfathers of the Strollers, in recent years Moorhouse has been perhaps the last bastion of the Class of ’89 to turn out with regularity of a Sunday. After circumspect elegance and poise, a typical Moorhouse innings sadly too often is cut short by a sudden rush of blood to the head causing a rash shot …insodoing demonstrating an allusion to greatness that he shares with most of his team mates and thus, Andy remains the most typical of Strollers. However, a brief spell with the ball in 2008 and occasional stints as a substitute wicketkeeper suggest there may he hitherto unmined depths to Moorhouse’s cricketing abilities.
