AGM 2011 — special report posted: December 2, 2011
This year's AGM is took place last night at The Pavilion at North Middlesex CC. As usual, it was a lively affair with all aspects of club business under discussion.
Tim and outgoing skipper Spencer delivered a season summary before awards were presented for Newcomer Of The Year (Andy Bates), Batsman Of The Year (Big Gav), Bowler Of The Year (Rob) and Stroller Of The Year (Spencer).
All this led up to the main event when the Bucket Of Justice spoke decisively to return Tim Sturm as the new club captain and Paul Bowstead as the vice captain for 2012. Congratulations to both! Read Tim's report from the evening below...

Brace yourselves! The averages for the 2011 season and updated career averages have now been published. Congratulations to Spencer who tops the 2011 batting averages having amassed a huge 792 runs in the season at 52.8 (!) and newcomer Ted Greally who leads this year's bowling honours with an average of 12.29. In the career stats, it's no change at the top of the batting with Harsh still in front but check out the bowling where De Dazzler has now crashed straight in at number one with an average of 13.3! Congratulations to both.

We are already looking forward to the 2012 season and, as is cutomary, we are planning a series of indoor net sessions over the winter at the MCC Indoor School at Lord's. Tim is organising these sessions and makes the following plea to help with expenses:
Normally the bookings for net sessions at Lords in early 2012 would take place after the AGM, however sessions are booking up early this year - possibly due to the nets closing for refurbishment over November and December - so we need to book now if we want to ensure we can get some pre-season nets in... read more
Bohemians clinch end of season mini test finale posted: October 4, 2011
An entertaining end to the season saw a T20 2 innings 'mini test' at Ally Pally where old rivals the Battersea Bohemians emerged on top, claiming a five wicket victory. There were several Stroller highlights, however, including an unbeaten 29 from Matt in our first innings and Spencer claimed another three for (3-8) in the Bohemians' second.
Gol Guppas enjoy Indian summer at Strollers' expense posted: September 25, 2011
The penultimate domestic game was less of a match than a rout as guest opposition Gol Guppas made hay in the late summer sun at Ferme Park posting a gargantuan 384-8. The enormous total was reached primarily on account of skipper Umair hitting an eye-popping and unbeaten 158, but the Strollers equally didn't help their own cause with at least six catch chances shelled over the course of the 35 overs...
Strollers recovery thwarted by dominant Washington posted: September 18, 2011
After last week's romp to victory over the Salmagundis, it was back down to earth today with a hard fought but engaging match at North Middlesex CC against newfound oppo Washington. In a game where fortunes ebbed and flowed it was ultimately not to be our day and the 8 wicket margin of defeat proved conclusive, despite an excellent 5th wicket partnershiip between Spencer and Graeme (52 apiece)...
Strollers put Salmagundis to the sword as winning habit returns posted: September 11, 2011
It was back to winning ways today, with the Strollers romping to a decisive 9 wicket victory over the Salmagundi Gardeners. A conclusive and crushing win in every respect — with Rob collecting 3-22 and George hitting an unbeaten 50 following an excellent all-round fielding display with several stunningt catches.
Strollers undone by convincing Codicote posted: September 4, 2011
Codicote CC today got their revenge with a convincing win over the Strollers largely thanks to their fielding of a vastly stronger side than that which we beat in our inaugral clash last year. In a rain reduced match we posted a respectable if seemingly modest total of 152-4 off 25 overs before the Codicote batsmen turned in a powerful display to ease over the winning line with almost four overs to spare.
Flat and wet pitch hands victory to the Horizontals posted: August 21, 2011
An absorbing clash at Ferme Park yesterday resulted in a disappointing loss to the Walthamstow Horizontals. But the match wasn't without it's highlights from our perspective, with a much improved fielding display after last week's debacle and a mesmerising spell of leg spin from débutant Clive Beagles who collected 2-26. Still the oppo posted a par score 214-8 and despite an excellent fifty 5th wicket partnership between Tim (39) and James (38), too many early wickets fell, thanks largely to a downpour at the start of our innings that rendered the track a mudbath. Still, some positives to take into September.

The Strollers mid-season purple patch came to an abrupt and shocking end today at a sunny Ealing Sports Ground where newfound opposition Exiles claimed victory by an enormous 140+ run margin.
Rampant Strollers rip through Old Fallopians posted: August 14, 2011
The Strollers notched up a fourth victory on the bounce today with a crushing 150+ run win over the Old Fallopians at Ferme Park. Congratulations must go to Messrs Fowler (104* and 3-11), Sturm (60) and Bowstead (3-32) but the truth was it was another fine all round team performance that gave us the victory!
Strollers turn in textbook T20 performance to see off Octopi posted: August 12, 2011
The Strollers turned in an exemplary all round team performance last night to claim a convincing T20 win over Octopus CC in the inaugural fixture between the two sides, with a strong finish to the Strollers innings (thanks to Tim and Matt) and some crucial early breakthroughs to carve up the Octopus top order. Textbook stuff and a good win to give the Strollers three victories on the bounce...
After the rains, sun beams down on Strollers win posted: August 7, 2011
Ferme Park was today the scene of a long overdue win over local rivals the Beamers thanks to a fine team effort in the field difficult conditions and a man of the match winning knock of 80 from Matt.
Strollers rediscover winning ways over Walthamstow Horizontals posted: July 24, 2011
The Strollers finally got back to winning ways today with our first victory in six games, away to the Walthamstow Horiztontals who managed to post only 104 all out thanks largely to another fine spell from skipper Spencer who returned excellent figures of 3-17. In reply, despite a faltering start, débutant Malcomes batting at three hit an unbeaten 54 ensuring an easy and long overdue win!
